Nationally there will be 34 winners a month, with at least one winner from each RST region. Coaching Vacancy - Gore   9 Jun 2013
Coach required with immediate start. We have skaters struggling to get the lessons they would like due to overload on our current coach after the coach we had lined up to come to New Zealand chose not to come. We would like someone who: • Can coach Kiwiskate, singles, school/social group bookings, development and possibly off-ice training • Is ideally available to work in all/most of our figure skating time however we would consider even someone who could only work certain days. • Figure Skating times Monday to Friday before school, after school Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and Saturday mornings until lunch time. • Must be eligible to work in New Zealand. • Preferably have or are working towards NZIFSA Level One coaching accreditation or could cross-credit from another country. Ice Sports Southland is primarily a figure skating orientated rink where there is plenty of ice time and it’s easy to be the only ones on the ice. Come and be part of a fantastic member run indoor rink in the sports heart of Gore. As we have the first of our competitions within a couple of weeks don’t put off applying for this position. For more information please email our Figure Skating Executive Alison Duff at tarua2@hotmail.com or phone our President Marita Soper on 021 332 310.

Coaching Vacancy in Gore   21 Aug 2012
Immediate start required for a coach willing to ease the work load. We have skaters keen to move into private lessons however there just aren’t enough hours in the day for our coaches to take them. Come and be part of a fantastic member run indoor rink in the sports heart of Gore. Ice Sports Southland is primarily a figure skating orientated rink where it’s not hard to be the only one on the ice and where figure skating times are not over crowded. Ideally we would like a coach qualified and experienced in all disciplines of skating but primarily for now will be singles, Kiwiskate, school/social group bookings, development and possibly off-ice training for our competitive skaters. The ideal applicant will also have NZIFSA recognised Level One minimum coaching experience with the opportunity to be involved in some ice hockey if wished. Come and be part of a rink owned by its skaters and not by corporate business men, close to the ski slopes and surrounded by the wonderful vistas of Southland. To find out more please contact the Ice Sports Southland President, Marita Soper 03 203 8963 or 021 332 310 or email ma_pasoper@hotmail.com before Sunday 16th September.
